June:
June 22nd – Public Forum-Rockland Firehouse in Roscoe at 6:30 pm-Empowering Communities for Successful Aging- coordinated by Triad. See 2010 Announcements for more details.
July:
July 2nd - Annual Auction at the Rockland Fire House, preview will start at 6:00 pm, with the auction starting at 7pm. Refreshments provided by the Roscoe-Rockland Fire Dept Ladies Auxiliary. Donations of merchandise are welcome. Contact Nancy at 607 498-5101.
July 3rd – Independence Day Parade and Festival 10am-4pm, Stewart Ave in Roscoe. Chicken Barbecue provided by the Roscoe Hose Company at the New Firehouse Location (Kirchner’s) 12pm-soldout.
July 10th - O&W Penny Social at the Rockland Firehouse in Roscoe. Doors open at 5pm, calling at 6:30.
July 10/11th – 17/18th – 24/25th – CFFCM Youth Education Weekends. (Three weekends for different age levels and skills. Each weekend can accommodate 20 children, 10 each boys and girls. The children are introduced to fly tying, entomology, casting and fly fishing).
August:
August 5th – Temperate Forest Foundation. These are teachers that come from all over the country to Sullivan County, the Catskills for techniques on how to bring the environment into their classrooms. This is the third year this group is coming. One evening is spent at the Center and the teachers have been introduced to casting and fly tying, this year will focus on entomology.
August 7th & 8th – Summerfest/Anglers Market & Jubilee Weekend. Summerfest/Anglers Market – An angler’s flee market. Anything and everything on sale related to fishing. Jubilee Weekend – local craft vendors, artists and environmental organizations.
August 7th - ”The Class Reunion” Mystery Dinner Theatre. The 40th Class Reunion of Looneyville High, to be held at the Rockland House Saturday, August 7th, at 7 pm. Entrance Fee of $25 includes Dinner and Show…. Wearing your Looney Attire is encouraged!! Please contact Lilly at 607 498-5222 for tickets/information.
August 15th – Golf Tournament. Held at Twin Village Golf Club, over 30 golfer join the CFFCM for a day of fun on the coarse and then dinner at the CFFMC.
August 21st - Catskill Fly Tyers Guild Picnic. Members of the CFTG enjoy the grounds of the CFFCM for their yearly picnic.
September:
Monday, September 6th – LABOR DAY- Books, Bubble and Balloons in DEBRUCE – 10 AM TO3 PM - PARADE @ 11 AM
September 10th – 12th– Rodmakers Gathering. Over 125 rodmakers from all over the world come to area for a weekend of programs and seminars on rod building held at the CFFCM.
September 25th- Roscoe Hose Company 1st Annual Outdoor Expo and 2nd Annual St. Baldrick’s Event 10am-4pm at Roscoe Firemen’s Park. See www.roscoeoutdoorexpo.com for more info.
September 25th – Annual Harvest Festival 10am-4pm- in Roscoe
October:
October 9th – Semi-Annual Meeting and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Semi annual meeting and Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony followed by dinner at Kings Catering.
November:
November 6th & 7th - Art of the Angler Show, Danbury CT. Off site fly fishing show and auction; includes tyers, vendors, fundraising auction and members book exchange
November 30th – Winter Fundraiser – A Night in NYC
December:
December 4th – Holiday Open House. All CFFCM members and friends are welcome to enjoy a festive evening at the CFFCM to celebrate the joys of the season.
