Attention Town of Rockland Residents
-BUDGET WORK SHOP IS OCTOBER 12th & OCTOBER 26th at the Town Hall at 6 PM.
-WATER RESTRICTION HAS LIFTED
-Roscoe/Livingston Manor First Merger Vote is October 26th – Eligible voters in both school districts can cast ballots in the advisory referendum from 10 AM to 8 PM Wednesday, October 26th, at the new gym of both districts. If a majority of voters in each district approve the merger proposal, the process will move to a second, binding vote, scheduled for December 14th. If a majority of voters in either district votes a “No” on the proposal, the merger process will end without moving forward any further. If the merger is approved, the new district is going to begin operations on July 1st, 2023. A mailer with more information about the merger will go out to households in both school districts later in the month (October). Information is also available on the merger pages of both districts websites.
