2023 – Tornado in Roscoe, NY. I understand that people are going through a very hard time right now and getting a storm like this was completely unexpected. Anyone who has any type of damage due to the Saturday nights storm, the Town of Rockland is collecting data in hopes to get some type of relief. There is a certain threshold that needs to be met in order to get the relief we need. There is an individual assistance damage assessment in my office at the Town Hall in Livingston Manor. We are asking ANYONE who has proof of damage & proof of claim to insurance to come fill out the form so we have an understanding of how many people need assistance. Please understand this is an attempt to get the assistance needed for relief, we are doing our due diligence to help anyone we can in this time of need. If for whatever reason, you can not come during normal business hours please contact me directly at 845-439-5450 EXT 101 so we can arrange a set appointment for you to fill out form.
We recommend you take as many pictures of the damage as possible, whether it be trees down on your property that need to be cut, shingles missing on your roof, windows blown out, car damage, etc… ANYTHING to help make this assistance possible. If you have trees down that need to be removed from your property, have estimates ran. Written estimates may help as well. We are keeping a log for each separate entity that was affected by these natural causes.
Please understand we are also still waiting on a lot of answers from the Sullivan County Government Center as to what our next move is. So please be patient and if you have any questions I will try to do my best answering them. More information will be brought to you after several meetings the County has planned.
