The Regular Meeting of the Town of Rockland was held on June 3, 2010 at 1:30 PM at the Town Hall, Livingston Manor, New York with the following members

OTHERS PRESENT: Theodore Hartling, Highway Superintendent; Robert Wolcott, Water and Sewer Superintendent, Cynthia Theadore, Assessor and several members of the public.
Supervisor Weitmann called the meeting to order with the pledge to the flag.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
On motion of Mr. Eggleton, seconded by Mrs. Mershon and carried, the minutes of the May 20, 2010 were approved as presented by the Town Clerk.

OLD BUSINESS
Emergency Radios are up and running. The radios have been installed in all the Highway trucks and the Supervisors truck. Supervisor Weitmann will schedule installation of radios in the water and sewer trucks as they have not been completed as of this date.
Livingston Manor Sewer RFP Package Review has been set for June 10th @ 9:00 A.M. at which time the bids will be opened.
Comprehensive Master Plan Supervisor Weitmann turned the floor over to Chairperson of the Comprehensive Master Plan Patricia Pomeroy. She advised that the next step in adopting the plan is to complete modification to the document from the feed back of all the public meetings held. A request was made from Beaverkill area residents to set up a meeting to review said plan. Mrs. Pomeroy will be setting up this meeting.
Street Closings are set for June 12th in Livingston Manor for the Trout Parade and July 3rd in Roscoe for the Roscoe Chambers Street Fair.
NEW BUSINESS
Army Corps Supervisor reported that the Army Corp of Engineers are in Town for the next two (2) days to complete their on site visits. They will be accompanied by representatives from the DEC, Trout Unlimited, Brian Brustman, District Manager for the Sullivan County Soil and Water and James Buck, NYS Engineer.
Red Cross Training is set for Saturday, June 12th at the Rockland Firehouse.
Town ID Badges Supervisor Weitmann advised that there are several new employees and elected officials who do not have ID Badges. He is working on setting up a date and time to have
Pictures taken and badges made.
Water & Sewer logs were presented to the Board members.
Dog Control Report was presented to the Board members.
Resolution – Standard Work Day and Reporting
On a motion of Mr. Eggleton, seconded by Mrs. Mershon, the resolution for Standard Work Day and Reporting was adopted. 3 AYES – Carried

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Town of Rockland hereby establishes the following as standard work days for elected and appointed officials and will report the following days worked to the New York State and Local Employees’ Retirement System based on the record of activities maintained and submitted by these officials to the clerk of this body:

DEPARTMENT HEADS
Highway Superintendent Ted Hartling reported on what areas are being paved. He also reported that the grader and Kenworth Truck are going to Otsego for the Municipal contractor Equipment Auction. The Kenworth will be put online to be auctioned.
Water and Sewer Superintendent Bob Wolcott reported that his department is working on cleaning up the plant. He met with the contractor on the mowing bid and showed him areas that weren’t being trimmed. Since then the mowing and trimming have been good.
Assessor Cindy Theadore reported that Grievance Day was held on May 25th. The Assessment Board received 10 in person Grievance forms, and 30 where mailed in. The Chairman will be in next week to complete the paper work on the grievance process.
APPROVAL OF BILLS
On motion of Mrs. Mershon, seconded by Mr. Eggleton, the following resolution was ADOPTED – Vote – Ayes 3, Nays 0 – resolved – to approve the bills on abstract #11 dated June 3, 2010 in the following amounts:
General Fund #182 – 197 $ 5,995.40
Highway #219 – 232 $ 4,853.27
Livingston Manor Water #82 – 88 $ 3,501.16
Livingston Manor Sewer #95 – 105 $ 6,344.53
Roscoe Sewer #71 – 78 $ 2,563.34

On motion by Mrs. Mershon, seconded by Mr. Eggelton, the meeting was adjourned at 2:10 PM.
